Why Do Most Black People Keep Others Back With Their Negative Attitudes?

I am going to try to keep my attitude civil here on Black Talk Radio, but I will not
change my feelings about the behavior of my Black people, and most of you who
knows me that life is to short for the BS. Believe me, I am one who used to always blame others for not allowing me moving forward, and now I see a new
BIG PICTURE. There is young Blacks as well as older Blacks who seem to think
that they know everything. Our attitudes and behavior shows what we know,
and yet we want to blame the white man for keeping us this way. Again, that's
a bunch of Bull****. We need to all look at our own attitudes before we try
to judge others, and if we practice what we preach we would be better people.
What is your viewpoint on what I am saying? Brother WilliamX

I am very thankful for those of you who have posted on this forum,
and I do hope that you would stop by whenever you can. However,
This forum was not created to promote your websites, but to ONLY
leave a comment concerning the current topic (discussion).

Whatever I am involved in is or the best intrest of my people, and
what can I do or the people who add their opinion to this forum to
add something positive to the solution. The majority of the time
my thoughts, ideas, and suggestion is based on dealling with the every
day struggles. I also believe in stating the truth about the hardship, and
the bitterness that Blacks are experiencing between themselves.

So you can expect that from me on any Peoples Nation/ New Unity

Peoples Nation Ning Website.........The UNITY COMMISSION FORUM.

I was participating in the struggle when many of you was a small child,
but I am sure that your parents, GrandParents, and others was involved
with the Civil Rights movement in one form or the other.

My last statement is to give a clear understanding concerning how I feel
about both sexes bashing each other. Especially the young trying to tell
older people what and how they should think, and I do believe that a
Single Mother or Father will go through the same hell when it comes to
divided relationship. PLus I WILL NOT ALLOW NO WOMAN TO BASH A
SINGLE FATHER who took the responsibility to care for his child(ren),
and both should STOP trying to get everyone who don't know or have
NEVER experienced the crisis to co-sign one side.

This is how I will be the remaining of my life, and I will not be lowered
by anyone.

In looking at a group of people it is necessary to generalize. Everyone will understand that not everyone in that group has all of the characteristics of the group.

I don't believe it is necessary to generalize people and I disagree that everyone will understand. I have heard quite a few white people on that other network make statements about why "black people don't like dogs, or why black people don't like to swim". To any rational person, this would be consider a blatant example of stupidity. While some people may know that it is wrong to generalize, they will do it any way because it suits their agenda. With that said, I would not say that all white people think this way about black people, not even a majority.

I agree with you to a certain degree, you sound pretty angry and shouldn't be. We all have to be accountable for our actions and it doesn't matter what color you are. You have good and bad in every race, rich and poor as well. The only person who can stop you from getting ahead and accomplishing your goals is you.

I think that discrimination is slowly declining already. Well as for this post i believe that our attitudes are based on how we were raised and our environment. All we need to do is to look around and observe what kind of traits we want to absorb to ourselves. In the end it is us who mold ourselves.

How ironic, I had a similar conversation with a white client today. You should have seen the look on her face. I told her I'm keeping it real. By the actions we know what's up. As a colon hydrotherapist, I can tell you when a client is on my table I ask if something past or present bugs them and I have to get them to talk and when they do, the body releases it's toxins thru the colonic hose and I always say, you won't be taking that home with you. So all I can add to this conversation is poor diet (sugar, candida), negative images, multi generational issues, toxic livers, home environment, sexual abuse(prevalent in OUR community). Deep seeded issues store within the solar plexus. When I see the bile produced by the liver leave the body I know for SURE some psychological issues are leaving the body. But on the other hand, some folks are just stuck on stupid and dumber than a box of rocks.
