I really feel what your saying Brotha, really. I would however like to take it one step further. We do yes have to, must get more involved in our children's education and welfare. We though as parents, we as Blacks need to understand the Purpose of our current Educational system " This is a system to make workers and to also create a society under control" A Peoples History Of America, Howard Zinn. i get what you are saying, I do. But if we are truly going to get involved, if we truly want to make a change, we Must regroup and think of getting our on schools and our own educational system in place. The Black college was a start. black Wall Street was a Start. Marcus Garvey, Noble Drew, Elijah Muhammad, These are the beginning. This, Our generation has to get out of the blend and think again about Creating something better. Yes this is a system that we can work with. We have gotten this far. brothers and Sisters this is 400 hundred years of work. Do we take another 400 or do we find a better way for us. or do we wate for some one to Creat it for us. its time to think new.,.Think Us

But, I do get what your saying, i just wish we could take it one step further.

Thank You

Mr. Cook with all due respect, I hear you and to some degree agree with you. There's a bigger problem that needs to be addressed that not many of us want to talk about, and that's living in a false sense of our reality. We have hurdled over many obstacles and made many great achievements, but the fact still remains we are conditioned to believe we can live in an abnormal environment and produce normal people from it. We have all these black churches in our abnormal environment, we have produced a slew of athlete's and entertainer's, there have been educated professionals generated as well, the list goes on and on. Bottom line we are not the majority, even more; we do not make the laws or set the standards in this country. We are constantly on the defensive while being attacked on many different levels : Socially, mentally, physically, financially, biologically and more to mention. We are the number one consumers in this abnormal environment, yet we own very little. We constantly are seeking employment, education, financing from everyone else. We have not reached the level to understand that we are never gonna free ourselves until we start doing for ourselves. If we use the one strength that we do have which is our money; we then could start building our community and also begin empowering ourselves without the need for permission from others. Let's do a deeper analysis of critical thinking on what our people (BLACK PEOPLE) really need, and how are we going to go about obtaining our needs.
