I don't think anyone would be able to forget 9/11. It's one of the major events that surprised a lot of people around the world.

All we can do is offer them our prayers so that all the victims and their relatives would find peace after what has happened. :)

9/11 was tragic, however, we need to move on. How long are you going to grieve it? From the dawn of man, people have died horrible deaths, blah blah blah, and 9/11 won't be the last. If we honored everyone who died tragically, we'd never get any work done. Don't get me wrong, I was with it all the way and saw the harmful images, but I saw no honor and dignity when some of the widows of 9/11 were busy getting every dime they could get their mits on and hooking up with their dead husbands buddies who left their wives for them. Sores and wounds never heal as long as you keep picking at them. Quit beating a dead horse and move on! And while you're at it, let's keep all things equal, it's only fair you put the SAME energy into the thousands that died in the civil war,Civil rights war, and the thousands who die yearly thru home grown terrorism. The 9/11 victims were loved by their family members but in the art of war they are merely collateral damage. I know, I'm always stirring the pot.

Today marks the eight-year anniversary of the shocking 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon building in Washington, DC, and the crash of United Airlines flight 93 in rural Pennsylvania. The attacks directly led to the deaths of nearly 3,000 people, including hundreds of police officers and firefighters who responded to the disaster, and was profoundly felt all over the world.

In 2001, social media was just in its infancy, but now that people have such an easily accessible global outlet to share their memories, grief, anger, frustrations, and pain, social web sites are being used as gathering places today for those remembering the September 11th attacks.
