Breaking The Cycle - Embracing The Mantle of Fatherhood

by William Jackson Edited by Cheryl Littles

The recent E3 Focus Forum centered around the topic that has been touched on by such notable people as Bill Cosby, Bill Clinton and even President Barak Obama. There have been many dialogues about the urgency to get fathers more involved in their children’s lives even after divorce or non-marital breakups, with children the results of these relationships.

Fathers Teach Your Children How To Survive

By William and Sean Jackson
Our young men are being taken away at an alarming rate, either being killed or incarcerated. We see more shootings that are claiming the lives of those who should have futures ahead of them. Young men have fallen at the hands of those who have sworn to protect and serve, young men such as Sean Bell, Omar Edwards and DeAuntae Farrow; they did not know who their killers were by name, but were unable to prevent the events of their demise. Tragic events show that fathers,… Continue

Parents Beware of your Child’s Internet Activities - Part One

My Quest To Teach: As an educator and parent of two teens (Sean 17 and Shae 13) my quest is to provide information to make parents aware of what is a “possibility” online, to empower parents with knowledge and not to be in denial nor ignorant to what their children can or maybe are doing online. We must remember children of this generation are known as “Generation Y” and as such are born into a digital world where it seems from birth they are connected. Stated in Wikipedia,” Generation Y,… Continue

Bro. Jackson,

Thanks for sharing, caring, writing and fighting.

And I'm looking forward to speaking with you on The National Black TEEN Radio Show with Scotty Reid later this afternoon. The issues many of our youth face in overcoming not only academic achievement gaps, and compounded by the digital technology divide, is important for us to address and resolve. Let's begin to share this dialogue and dilemma with a broader audience so that we can bring this matter issue to light.

Till then, as always, be blessed and best.
