Every year, just prior to the impending "flu season," the CDC and their acquiescent media pawns terrorize the American public with false claims regarding annual flu deaths. The CDC boldly asserts that 36,000 people die every year from the flu. Such scare tactics are calculated to increase flu vaccine sales. However, according to the CDC's own official records documented in National Vital Statistics Reports, only a few hundred people die from influenza (flu) on an average year. And many of these deaths occur in people with preexisting conditions, weakened immune systems, and the elderly. For example, in 2002, 753 people died from the flu. The year before, in 2001, just 257 people died from the flu. (Fifty-nine percent of these deaths occurred in people 75 years or older; 75 percent occurred in people 55 years or older.) To put these numbers in perspective, 3,454 Americans died from malnutrition in 2001 -- 13 times greater than the number of flu deaths! That same year, there were 4,269 deaths attributed to asthma, a condition some studies have linked to vaccines. http://www.whale.to/vaccine/miller_flu.html http://www.whale.to/a/ten12.html
Pneumococcal Vaccine Does Not Appear To Protect Against Pneumonia
ScienceDaily (Jan. 7, 2009) — Commonly used pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccines do not appear to be effective for preventing pneumonia, found a study by a team of researchers from Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
In many industrialized countries, polysaccharide pneumococcal vaccines (PPVs) are currently recommended to help prevent pneumococcal disease in people aged 65 and over and for younger people with increased risk due to conditions like HIV. Studies have shown conflicting results regarding the efficacy of PPV. The study, a systematic review and meta-analysis, looked at 22 clinical trials, reviews and meta-analyses and more than 100,000 participants from countries in North America as well as India, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. Unlike other similar studies the authors examined the reasons why different clinical trials produced different results. They found that the quality of the studies substantially affected the results. When only high quality trials were included, there was no evidence that PPVs (polysaccharide pneumococcal vaccines) could prevent pneumonia. The study adds to the ongoing debate around effectiveness of the vaccine....."Policy makers may therefore wish to reconsider their current recommendations for PPV, especially where routine pneumococcal conjugate immunization has been introduced," conclude Dr. Matthias Egger from the University of Bern, Switzerland and coauthors. However, in a related commentary, Dr. Ross Andrews and coauthor from the Menzies School of Health Research, Darwin, Australia state that the researchers' conclusions exceed the evidence presented. They caution that there should be no change in vaccine policy in countries that recommend PPV to prevent invasive pneumococcal disease. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/01/090105175313.htm
Respiratory Health
By Djehuty Ma'at-Ra Bronchitis Bronchitis is inflammation of the bronchi tubes. The bronchi are tubes that lead to the lungs. Basically, the bronchi tubes are obstructed with mucus which causes inflammation. Bronchitis also involves serious coughing in an attempt to expel mucus from the bronchi tubes. Bronchitis can be either acute or chronic. In either case, mucus is the culprit. However, the triggers of bronchial chest spasms in cases of bronchitis may be viral, bacterial, or caused by fumes, especially cigarette smoke. I know for myself in my case of both bronchitis and asthma that cigarette smoke played a major role. My mother and father both greatly smoked in their lifetimes. My father was a heavy smoker for many years but stopped in 1982 when he discovered and fell in love with Mary Jane (marijuana).....My mother on the other hand was a notorious cigarette smoker for many years. I remember her smoking in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. In fact, she smoked up until the time of her death, or actually, six months before her death. She would leave trails of smoke throughout the house. Wherever she went, the smoke followed. I remember clouds of smoke in the hallways of our home on 1331 South Towne Avenue in Los Angeles. It was like walking through smog and fog. It was my mother's smoking that made me bounce (leave) from the spot (house) in 1995. I couldn't take it no more. The smoke was greatly irritating my lungs
Pneumonia I probably heard the name pneumonia more than any other name or term for a disease while growing up in the 1970s. I can remember vividly my grandmother and uncles warning my cousins and myself to cover up or put on heavy clothes before going out into the cold. Ya'll children better put on a sweater lest ya'll catch pneumonia! Grandma Sis would sayPneumonia was associated with the cold with the Cooper family, my paternal side of my familyWhat is pneumonia? Pneumonia is an acute infection of the lungs. Pneumonia too is caused by mucus obstruction. When the tiny air sacs of the lungs become filled up with mucus and pus, inflammation results and the medical term is pneumonia. Again, pneumonia is MUCUS obstruction. That's all it is. Coughing is also involved here because the Body Intelligence uses the reflex mechanism in attempt to expel hardened and stubborn mucus. Emotions and the lungs
Diet Poor diet is the greatest physical cause of lungs and respiratory diseases. Poor diet helps to manifest lungs and respiratory disorders caused by emotions and attitudes. The worst thing a person affected with a lung disorder could eat is dairy. Yes, liquefied cow snot and pus that is called dairy and includes cheese, milk, sour cream, ice cream, yogurt and butter. Dairy is greatly mucus forming. People battling respiratory illnesses should remove all dairy products from their diet if they want to live and have good health. Let's not forget that dairy breaks down into LACTIC ACID which creates mucus, especially in the lungs where a person's emotional disease may originate. Next on the list of prohibited substances is meat, slaughtered animal flesh that you have been conditioned to call meat. Meat was originally the flesh of fruit and was known as food (read Genesis 1:29). But man set himself up as a god besides God and labeled the dead flesh of slaughtered animals as meat. Meat breaks down into URIC ACID which creates mucus. All meats should be eliminated from the diet if you have made up your mind to heal from a respiratory pathology. Animals don't develop asthma, bronchitis or pneumonia because they don't eat COOKED meat (animal flesh).Refined grains are a no go if you are battling a condition of the lungs. Refined, processed grains convert into glue inside the stomach and also break down in to mucus. No matter how good them Krispy Casket Creme donuts, car anti-freeze laced super casket (super market) cakes and other sweets may be, they ultimately break down into a gooey gob of thick and sticky mucus and saturate in the lungs causing serious impairment. Starches too, the refined and processed ones, also break down into acid, CARBONIC ACID, and cause excess mucus production that may saturate in the lungs and other parts of the respiratory tract (Also Drinking Lots Of Distilled Water/With Raw Lemon Juice Twice A Day From An Organic Lemon Helps Keeps The Body Alkaline It also flushes Mucus out The Body, Vitamin D3 In Liquid Form And Lots Of Organic Fruits And Vegetables) .
(AP / BEIJING) — China's health ministry says two people who received vaccinations for swine flu have died though at least one of the death appears to be unrelated.
A statement posted on the ministry's Web site late Friday says an autopsy showed one of the two people suffered a heart attack. An autopsy on the other is still to be conducted. (See TIME's photos: "Soccer in the Time of Swine Flu")
It says experts have "basically ruled out the possibility" that the heart attack victim's death was the result of an allergic reaction to the flu vaccine.
But it adds experts are waiting for more lab results.
The ministry has said more than 13 million Chinese have received the swine flu vaccine so far. The statement says the vaccines are generally safe and vaccinations will continue.
Swine Flu Document Lists Sports Arena As Mass Vaccination Centre Separate documents cite need to keep locations of mass inoculation sites secret from public
Two more sets of UK regional influenza pandemic contingency documents have revealed details regarding the government's plans to set up mass vaccination centres in conjunction with local authorities and other departmentalized agencies.
One of the documents highlights a need to keep the location of mass vaccination centres secret from the public, while the other lists a sports stadium as one of the locations for mass public inoculation.
The plans outline the need to identify suitable locations for mass vaccination centres and the need to determine how many people can be vaccinated per day and for how long.
Now more documents from different regions have come to light, revealing the same overall strategy.
“When the general population is threatened or affected by a medical epidemic, mass vaccination of the public may be necessary.”
The "public version" of the plan states that the locations of the vaccine centers have been omitted.
"THE LOCATION OF VACCINATION AND TREATMENT CENTRES IS SENSITIVE INFORMATION, AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH. THEY WOULD BE EXEMPT FROM FoIA REQUESTS UNDER SECTION 38 OF THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000." an excerpt reads.
The document advises that the mass vaccination centres should be ready to operate 24 hours a day and estimates that they will "process approximately 1,000 - 3,000 people per day".
The paper notes that the public should be informed "what to expect when they get there i.e. adverse reactions and where to get advice".
It also gives an insight into the running of the centres, which is completely departmentalized under a "Tactical co-ordinating Group". Under a section titled "Communications", however, it is stated that "The Strategic co-ordinating Group will decide who will be the primary spokesperson in the interim set-up period; once command and control structure is in place, this may transfer to a specific agency."
Like the earlier uncovered documents, the need for "triage" of patients is highlighted.
The paper also states that "Police Services will advise on the security/safety aspects of each considered site and respond to public order situations."
In a key passage, the document notes "There is no specific legislation relating to this plan however, special powers granted to HM Government under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 may apply."
The second freshly discovered document is a sample vaccination order (PDF) originating from the NHS health authority in Bolton, Lancashire.
The order states that people in the UK will be summoned for a vaccination at an "allocated" date and time at pre-planned mass vaccination centres, and that refusal to attend is not an option.
"It is important that you attend this session. If you are unable to attend, you will need to go to one of the later sessions listed overleaf," says the letter in Appendix F page 29 of the contingency document·
The letter lists Bolton Arena as the mass vaccination site, which is a large indoor sports arena.
"This is a new vaccine, which protects against the pandemic strain of influenza, which circulated last year." the letter, which was drawn up in September 2006, states.
The document also highlights the need for crowd control and says that contract security should be considered in addition to the local police forces.
Students treated for reaction to H1N1 swine flu vaccine
Anna Johnson of Starkville, a student in the Mississippi University for Women School of Nursing, inoculates Rashaud Terry, 15, against the H1N1 flu virus, at New Hope High School, Wednesday. Holding his hand is classmate Katelyn Price, 16. The MUW student nurses are experienced in giving shots. A handful of Caledonia students reported reactions to the vaccine, but hundreds of other students in the area were vaccinated without incident.
Iesha Macon, 17, gets inoculated by Caleb Nabors, Mississippi University for Women student nurse, Wednesday. The MUW student nurses are experienced in giving shots. A handful of Caledonia students reported reactions to the vaccine, but hundreds of other students in the area were vaccinated without incident.
Ashley O’Mary will be home from school through Friday, a precaution her guardian is taking after O’Mary had a reaction to the H1N1 vaccine she was administered at Caledonia High School, Wednesday.
“She did not have as bad a reaction to the vaccine as some did,” said Joyce Flowers, O’Mary’s guardian, from the emergency room at Baptist memorial Hospital–Golden Triangle, Wednesday afternoon. “She has been given some Benadryl, and the doctor has given her some prescriptions to take.”
Sabrina Shelton’s reaction was more severe.
“Sabrina had a high fever and shortness of breath,” said Shelton’s mother, Bernice. “She was treated for hives and complained of itching from a rash.”
O’Mary and Shelton are two of nine Caledonia High students who suffered reactions to the H1N1 vaccine administered Wednesday.
All but one of the students had been treated and released from Baptist Memorial Hospital–Golden Triangle Wednesday evening. The status of the hospitalized student was unknown Thursday morning. And at least one of the students previously released from BMH–GT returned to the hospital Wednesday night, experiencing further complications.
Two students complained of shortness of breath just after receiving the vaccine while the others may have experienced what Mississippi State Department of Health District 6 Health Officer Dr. Rebecca “Tree” James referred to as “sympathy reactions” or discomfort with no evidence of an allergic reaction.
The hospitalized student was taken to Baptist by a relative after leaving school, said Lowndes County School District Superintendent Mike Halford. The rest were transported by ambulance directly from school.
“The reactions were serious enough to the point we thought we needed medical attention. In no way did we overreact,” said Halford. “We thought we might have got a bad batch of vaccine.”
The students began to show symptoms of a reaction within 15 minutes of the last high school student receiving the vaccination, which was administered by Mississippi University for Women School of Nursing clinical students through a partnership with MSDH.
Caledonia elementary and middle school students were scheduled to receive the vaccination Wednesday but, acting on the advice of MSDH officials, Halford postponed those vaccinations until a later date.
More than 400 New Hope middle and elementary school students also received the vaccinations Wednesday with no reported problems as did students at four Columbus city schools. MUW nursing students also administered those vaccines.
MSDH reported one other student has suffered a similar reaction among 10,000 vaccinated across the state.
